The moon of Rajab sighted on January 1, 2025, and the month of Rajab begin on Friday, January 2. And today , the 27th night of Rajab fall , After the magrib, And on this night we will observe Shab-e-Meraj.
That means, Today 27 January 2025 is Shab-e-Meraj .
What is Rajab: if you don’t know so I want to tell you that Rajab is the seventh month of the Islamic calendar that started after Jumadil Akhir and before Shaban.
What is shab-e-meraj
On the night of Shab-e-Miraj, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was taken on a journey from the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca to the Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, and then from there through the seven skies, to Sdrat al-Muntaha, Paradise, Hell, and to the places that Allah willed.
This night is referred to as Isra and Miraj. Isra means “night journey”. and Miraj means “ascension” or “to rise up”. Since the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had gone skies from Masjid al-Aqsa and this journey took place at night, So, it is called Isra and Miraj.
Moreover, since ‘shab ‘ means ‘night’ so, this night is also known as Shab-e-Miraj.
what should we do on shab e meraj?
Offer Nafil namaz
The NIght of Miraj is considered to be a very important night, therefore, on this night, along with the obligatory prayers, we should offer as many nafil Prayers as possible.
Recite Darood Sharif
On this night, the Prophet Muhammad S.A. made the Miraz journey of the Night. Therefore, we should recite as many blessings (Darood Shareef) upon the Prophet as possible on this night.
Recite Quran
Additionally, on this night, we should recite as much of the Quran as possible. This night is considered very important, therefore, we should recite as much of the Quran as we can on this night. Whether it be one para, two para , or three para, we should recite Quran as much as possible.
